Interior Designer

My client a Saudi group with diverse activities is currently looking for a Interior Designer for their home furniture company in Riyadh. Reporting to Department Head, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential, commercial, or institutional clients. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to understand their needs and preferences, develop design concepts, and execute projects from conception to completion. Below more details:

Client Consultation: Meet with clients to determine their goals, requirements, and budget for the project. Understand their lifestyle, tastes, and preferences.

Concept Development: Develop design concepts and space plans that align with the client’s vision, functional needs, and design objectives. Present mood boards, sketches, and renderings to illustrate design ideas.

Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the space. Consider factors such as durability, sustainability, and budget constraints.

3D Modeling and Rendering: Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) to create 3D models and renderings that visualize the proposed design concepts. Adjust designs based on client feedback.

Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and schedules for construction and procurement. Communicate design intent and specifications to contractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Project Management: Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design is implemented accurately and according to schedule. Monitor progress, address issues, and make necessary adjustments during the construction phase.

Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Develop project budgets and cost estimates based on the scope of work, materials, and labor required. Track expenses and ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints.

Code Compliance: Ensure that designs comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to safety, accessibility, and environmental sustainability.

Client Presentation: Present design proposals, including drawings, renderings, and material samples, to clients for review and approval. Incorporate client feedback and revisions into the design as needed.

Continuing Education: Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and technologies through workshops, conferences, and professional development opportunities. Maintain professional certifications and licenses as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Previous experience in interior design or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong creative vision, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing client preferences, project requirements, and deadlines.
