My client a Saudi business group in Agriculture and a leader in Grain Trading/Feed Manufacturing in KSA is currently looking for Head Finance to join their team in Riyadh. You will ensure the integrity of all financial activities of the group are in line with the organisation’s strategy and that the appropriate governance, policies and procedures are in place whilst minimising any risks to the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust financial and accounting policies, procedures and control mechanisms in line with IYA Investment corporate policies and standard accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance to all legal regulation including company insurances and safe custody of statutory financial documents
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for all the businesses in collaboration with the CEO and GM’s of the businesses
  • Develop and implement a financial strategy and plans which supports the objectives of each business function in the short, medium and long term
  • Work with the business functions to ensure that the financial and accounting activities and processes supports their business objectives
  • Lead the development of comprehensive financial plans for the short, medium and long term regarding revenues, prices, costs investments etc
  • Oversee financial control activities and processes to ensure accountability and minimise financial risk
  • Oversee day-to-day financial transactions to ensure they are up to date and in line with company policy which includes receivable and payable, cash flow management, banking arrangements and variance analysis
  • Work with the GMs to analyse and forecast each business’ financial performance profitability for the short, medium and long term
  • Work closely with the GM’s and CEO to develop funding and investment strategies for the business
  • Manage and monitor funding and investment operations highlighting areas of potential risk to the businesses and work towards mitigating these risks
  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions to promote beneficial and smooth transactions
  • Oversee all treasury functions for the businesses including foreign exchange, hedge transactions and manage financial credit risk
  • Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality in the execution of all financial transactions
  • Provide leadership and management support across the finance team focusing on all aspects of good people management and performance

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Business or relevant field.
  • 8-10 years experience in a similar role at a similar role.
  • Experience in interacting with financial institutions/banks.
  • You should have the following skills: Leadership/people management skills, Strategic thinking, Business and financial acumen, Decision making, Problem solving, Results orientation, Resilience, Customer focus, Ability to manage change, Influencing and negotiating skills, Teamwork, Excellent communication skills written and verbal in English and Arabic (preferred), Strong PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
