My client a global multinational strategy consulting business, is currently looking for PR and Communications Specialist based in Dubai. Reporting to Head of Brand and Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining the firm’s reputation and brand. The candidate will create, plan and execute PR strategies, identify media opportunities, build and maintain media relations, and manage conference opportunities in the region.

PR and media strategy

  • Work in close coordination with the PR firm to formulate PR campaigns, strategies and activations to promote the firm’s thought leadership in the media
  • Ensure that our campaigns are aligned with our strategic goals
  • Support in the dissemination of press releases and articles
  • Stay on top of industry current trends, competitors’ news, news stories and areas of trending public interest
  • Build consistent editorial plans
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media contacts, key influencers, and digital communicators
  • Leverage existing media relationships, including broadcast, traditional, and online to land prominent placements
  • Conduct media outreach and seek high-level media placements
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify the right publications/media outlets to expand our presence in the region
  • Spearhead PR content development and deployment of assets (imagery, press releases, key messages, storytelling/feature/pitch packages)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling story angles and develop diversified asset packages to maximize coverage opportunities
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure writing is clear, compelling, and on-brand
  • Brief VCS designers and guide them through efforts to innovate on PR and media formats
  • Build out the firm’s conference speaking calendar
  • Source and negotiate conference opportunities across our industries
  • Lead promotional and branding activities for conferences/events
  • Act as an events team lead and a liaison for all event projects to ensure client satisfaction
  • Take an active role in handling logistics of events managed and supported by the firm
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an ongoing basis
  • Support in all aspects of media trainings with clients and contractors, liaising with seniors/participants on content, attendance and logistics
  • Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews
  • Lead all aspects of seniors’ photo shoots and media bios
  • Monitor local media report and handle various media requests
  • Support the marketing team in providing analysis and building weekly and monthly activity reports
  • Maintain repository of photo assets and digital files
  • Support in managing viewpoint inventory, ensuring offices are sufficiently stocked
  • Follow up on deadlines and deliverables with key parties such as marketing material vendors and printers

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar PR/corporate communications role, preferably in a multinational firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Experience in copywriting and editing
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong working knowledge of media
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns
