Retail Planner


My client a home fashion brand in KSA, UAE and Qatar is hiring Retail Planner based in Dubai. Reporting to Merchandise Director, you will analyze sales and profits by square foot and by category. Offered salary for the role is kept open for the right talent. Below more details:

  • Be main point of contact for the designated region and perform other duties that come up such as shipping inquiries, managing product requests
  • Assist in the development of pre-season sales, gross margin and inventory plans that support product strategies
  • Manage sales and inventory plans at sub-department by store to optimize revenue and turnover
  • Conduct a thorough weekly review of business with the merchant and distribution teams in order to monitor and react to business needs
  • Work with wholesale planning on a monthly basis to review selling at Style/Color/Size, and also on an impromptu basis when sales trends dictate changes to future forecasts
  • Communicate with internal business partners (including design, sourcing, purchasing, ) major changes in business strategy and account needs


  • Minimum 4 years wholesale or retail planning experience
  • BA or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Office
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel required (v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Must have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to trouble-shoot issues in order to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Must have effective communication skills in order to communicate to team members, various business contacts and management
  • Basic knowledge of retail merchandise and presentation
  • Familiar with various computer courses such as Excel, Word, JDA and Intactix
