Supply Chain Director

My client a leading Food company active in KSA since 40 years and specializing in retail sales of nuts, coffee, grams, spices, dried fruit and dried vegetables. They have 200 Branches across KSA and +450 employees. They are part of a large Saudi Group with +10,000 employees. They are currently looking for a Supply Chain Director based in Riyadh. Reporting to Operations Director, you will manage a supply chain team of +40 including 3 managers. You will be in charge for the Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics and Warehousing. Below more details:

• You will be responsible of planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy.
• You will be in charge for the Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics and Warehousing.
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.
• Determine key supply chain KPIs.
• Suggest solutions for process improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
• Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors.
• Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.
• Work with procurement managers and buyers to source the right products.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers.
• Oversee product storage, handling and distribution.
• Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance.
• Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality.
• Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff.
• Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process.
• Manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain.
• Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.

Requirements:

• +10 years of experience in Supply Chain management.
• Experience in Nuts and Spices industry or Dairy industry.
• Strong planning skills.
• Logical and systematic approach to work.
• excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• The ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.
